Cruisers Unlimited Benefit Car Show
With near perfect weather conditions, on Saturday October 25th, New Martinsville’s downtown parking lot became home to over 100 highly polished cars, trucks and motorcycles from the last seventy years. These classic beauties came to town for the show that helps to support different causes that are impacting families from around the community.
On this Saturday, monies were collected to help support eleven-year-old Harper Goddard in her battle against Lymphoma. As is typical, visitors to the annual event realized the show benefits those with need and they add their support to the collection.
Scott Slie, President of Cruisers Unlimited has been participating in car show events for many years. This year, with his being the events director, his classic Chevy truck sat on the sidelines going unjudged in the day’s competition.
The show’s success is measured in backing from local businesses who annually support the event, which in turn brings more cars to participate in the show. This year Anderson Orthodontics, Bayer Heritage Credit Union, Citizen Bank, Cruisers Unlimited, DODI Enterprises, Fast Eddy’s, Flower Basket, Gump’s Septic & Porta John Services, J&T Paving, James Campbell, O.D., JW Tire, Kings Corner, Midcap Logging, Myers Pre-Owned Autos, Neff’s Auto, New Martinsville Moose Lodge, New Martinsville Supply, New Martinsville Women of the Moose Chapter 2165, Solid Waste Services of WV, Speedway Diner and Westlake.

Cruisers Unlimited show director, Scott Slie, “This the first car show with the Cruisers since 2018. Back then we had over 300 cars entered into the show. Today we have 100 and hope next year more will return and we once again will reach 300 entries. The money raised benefits St. Jude’s and a local young lady, Harper Goddard in her battle against Lymphoma.”
