Wetzel Tech Center Student Wins Third Place in SparkWV Contest

Wetzel County Technical Education Center student Vincent Sigley recently won third place during the small business division finals of the SparkWV contest for his business Sigley Aerial Services.
A Wetzel County Technical Education Center student recently won third place in a statewide competition for his business model.
Vincent Sigley, a design and computer aided design student at the center, won third place during the small business division finals of the SparkWV contest held at Shepherd University.
Sigley’s business, Sigley Aerial Services, involves the use of drones.
“The competition style was a timed ‘Shark Tank’ to pitch his business model. There were only six finalists out of 127 students,” according to the tech center.
He was also awarded $500 to use for his business.
Sigley is a junior at Hundred High School. During his pitch, he noted he is certified to operate drones for commercial purposes. He also said he uses two of the “best drones available on the consumer market,” the DJI Mavic 3 Pro and the DJI Mini 3 Pro.
He promotes his business on his website, http://sigleyaerial.com/, and on social media. He offers drone photography and videography for outdoor events, inspections, landscapes, real estate, wedding venues, car shows, before and afters, more.
“I am a West Virginia native aerial photographer, devoted to providing North Central West Virginia with quality aerial services,” Sigley states on his website. “My main areas of service include Morgantown, Fairmont, Bridgeport and Clarksburg. I am an FAA Part 107 Certified Remote Pilot, with 50+ hours of flight time. If you’re looking for quality services, you’re in the right place. My goal is to provide professional, creative, and personalized services for each client.”
