The Annual WV Young Writers competition took place this month. Students in grades 1-6 were able to submit entries at the school level by January 23rd. Students are encouraged to use their imagination and submit an original writing. Winners at the school level will be forwarded to the county level. Students winning first place at the county level will receive a commemorative certificate and be treated to workshops with published authors/presenters on WV Young Writers Day. State winners will receive cash prizes. The winner for Paden City Elementary 2nd grade this school year is Ellie Greene. Our 4th grade winner is Connor Yost. Two 5th graders are also going on to the county level: Jennah Little and Libby Greene. Congratulations to the PCE students and good luck at the county level!
