Three Paden City Elementary School 6th graders participated in the annual Band Regional Solo and Ensemble at John Marshall High School on Saturday, January 28th. Under the direction of Debra Price, Kolby Grimes, Holden Amos, and Maddie Householder performed Twinkling Fours as a brass trio and received a SUPERIOR rating. Holden Amos also played a trumpet solo, Minuet accompanied by Haley Williams and received a SUPERIOR rating. Students at the elementary level are not always a part of this experience, let alone receiving a SUPERIOR rating! We are so proud of the extra efforts these students have put forth. They will record their pieces and the recordings will be submitted to the state level. At the state level, the best of the best are chosen to perform their pieces later this year.
