This week we caught up with Tom Martin. If you see Tom today, wish him Happy Birthday. 93 years ago, Tom began life in Paden City. All theses years later, he still calls Paden City home. During his time serving in the Marines was the only time away from home. He is a retired chemical worker from PPG Industries. Tom was asked what was his earliest memory of growing up. He thought for a moment, before saying “I guess when I ran away from home. I was all of two and half and walking home with my brother and sisters. Being so small, I fell behind. After a time, they were out of sight, so I went on a walk around town. When they found me, I was by a store that is no longer around. I was standing by the building near where the Church of Christ is today. They walked off and left me as I tell it, and they say I run off. That was 90 years ago. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM MARTIN!
