Last Wednesday work was being performed on the new building at the location of the old Chinese restaurant. Jason Turner, owner of New Martinsville Pharmacy took a few moment from his day to tell us about his plans for the future.

Mr. Turner has owned the pharmacy located in the previous Witcheys grocery store since 2018. The response from the community over the years has grown and it became necessary in order to grow with the customer needs, to have a new center of operations.

The New Martinsville operation is part of four local pharmacies. Sistersville, Pinegrove, New Martinsville and Moundsville. All of these locations are owned by the parent company, PharmaCole.

Customers will be able to have their medications delivered to their homes. There will be two drive through lanes allowing customers to never leave their car if that is their wish. And there will be plenty of parking near the doors.

At present, the pharmacy has six associates working to meet customer needs. With the new business opening, it is possible that number may grow.

Progress is being made and it is hoped that by early summer an opening date can be achieved. Weather and supplies availability will play a big part in meeting that goal.

Mr. Turner express great optimism in opening the new business and being part of the community for years to come.
