Council Committee Budget Meeting
On Tuesday the 27th, committee #5 met to discuss the Building Departmentás upcoming budget matters. TIM CHICHICK brought before the committee the cost to upgrade the departmentás truck with additional equipment. A inter department radio, Cover for the truck, bed liner, lights and decals. The cost of the additional items, $7,178.00. This dollar amount does not require approval by council before being paid.
Second on the Building Department agenda, was a discussion on work that needs approved within City Hall. The sky light in the main council chambers needs to be evaluated along with an estimate to repair or replace. The floor in the main lobby needs to be evaluated and possibly replaced. The buildings HVAC system is also in need of evaluation to improve the operational effectiveness of the unit. Problems may be in the HVAC unit or the buildings duck work. Structural changes over the years have affected the flow of air inside the building.
Last item was a discussion on the departmentás upcoming budget and wage increases.
All items for discussion will be taken up with the full council at a future meeting after cost estimates have been received.
