Pipeline Work Will Begin Soon
Terry James and another guest of Price Gregory International, a union pipeline construction company, met with the Wetzel County Commission Tuesday to make them aware of some extensive pipelining that will be taking place in the county beginning very soon.
James stated his company was working with Caiman Energy in laying pipelines up through and around the areas from Huff Ridge to Jacksonburg. “We know it’s going to be a challenge,” James said. “But we’re proud to be here. We want to cause as few problems as we possibly can.”
Commissioner Scott Lemley asked of any traffic interruptions to be expected from their work, to which the two indicated such interruptions would be limited, adding the company was under rules not to run bigger trucks during high-traffic times in the mornings and after school.
Furthermore, they noted their trucks are escorted. “We want to be a good neighbor while we’re here,” James concluded.
The pipelines, which are said to run between five and six feet underground, will be comprised of 12-inch and four-inch pipes.
Such work is said to begin in the Proctor area as soon as Thursday.
Commission President Don Mason thanked their guests for coming forth and explaining the upcoming work and wished the company luck with the projects.
