Heat Causes Loss In Hundred Game

By Staff | Sep 7, 2011
Hundred Hornet Head Coach Rex Rush gives quarterback Dylan Murphy a drink during one of many water breaks in the game with Hannan.

The Hornet defense swarms to the ball in a 22-0 loss to Hannan in a heat-shortened game played in two-minute quarters for the last three quarters.

Both Hannan and Hundred took knees in the final three periods to end the game, as several players on both sides became light headed and nauseated during the first period. The heat was tagged at 100 degrees on the field.
