Our sincere sympathy goes out to the Dallison family and the entire Short Line area as it lost one of its biggest supporters last week with the untimely death of Jay Dee Dallison.

He obviously loved his community and they obviously loved him back. In fact, his reach went beyond the Short Line area, as evidenced by the New Martinsville football team also honoring his memory on their helmets.

It is because of his dedication and heart that many youth programs, particularly sports, even exist in the community. His family–both by blood and community–will miss him deeply for years to come. We believe the best way to honor him would be to let his memory and dreams live on through community endeavors.
