Barbara and Bill Starkey today

Bill and Barbara Starkey celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 25.

They were united in marriage by Jack Tharp on June 25, 1961, at the home of Jim and Virginia Starkey.

Barbara is the daughter of Betty Klug and the late Charles Johnson. She is a homemaker.

Bill is the son of the late Jim and Virginia Starkey. He is retired from PPG Industries.

They are active members of the First Church of God in New Martinsville.

They are the parents of five children. The family includes Debbie Hicks and her husband Richard, Jamie Rustemeyer, Bill Starkey and his wife Theresa, Chuck Starkey and his wife Michelle, and Dan Starkey and his wife Melissa. They have 11 grandchildren.

They were honored with an open house at the Mollohan Center with family and friends in attendance.  They would like to thank all of those who helped to make their 50th anniversary so special.
