The Wetzel Tyler Regional Advisory Committee of the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) announced grants made to nonprofit organizations located in Wetzel and Tyler Counties in 2010 and 2011 at a reception at the historic Wells Inn in Sistersville on June 7 at 1 p.m.
In 2010 the Community Foundation organized community volunteers to serve on a Regional Advisory Committee to benefit Wetzel and Tyler counties–counties that are within the CFOV’s service area. The Regional Advisory Committee was given $15,000 to make grants to nonprofit organizations serving Wetzel and Tyler counties. The committee decided to make grants in Fall 2010 and in Spring 2011. Grant recipients expressed their sincere appreciation for the work of the committee and for the funding provided by the Community Foundation. Diana Rice of Sistersville General Hospital said, “This one-time grant will provide years of benefit to the patients of Sistersville Hospital.”
