Auditions Set For Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland
Local actors are anticipating the upcoming auditions for “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. From left: Shauna Riggs, Haley Hizer, McKenna Connolly, and Hannah Benson. In front: Ellie Lallathin.
The auditions for the Wayward Player’s Children’s Theater production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland will be held June 30 and July 1, beginning at 5 p.m and lasting for approximately three hours. Call backs as needed will be on July 2 at 2 p.m., all at the Lincoln Theater in New Martinsville.
There are roles for students entering first grade through 12th grade, as well as backstage opportunities for older kids. While there is no guarantee that all of the actors who audition will be cast in the play, every effort will be made to include everyone. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and be prepared stay for the entire session. There will be a parent meeting in the back of the theater at the start of the auditions to issue further information and to answer questions. If your child is cast in the production, the first rehearsal will be on July 3 at 2 p.m.
This is a group audition–no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!
Rehearsal schedules will be distributed at the end of auditions. Although not all cast members will be needed at every rehearsal, they must be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role as this is a very short rehearsal period. Rehearsals will be held on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 2-5 p.m.
The performances will be held on Aug. 4, 5, and 6 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 7 at 3 p.m. at the Lincoln Theater in New Martinsville. All those cast must be available for all scheduled performances.
Please call Donna Earley at the ArtsLink office at 304-455-2278 if you have any questions or to pre-register. Pre-registration is not required, but will help the process run smoothly on audition day.
