Christmas Will Be On Parade Dec. 4

The 2010 Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade “Holiday in Paradise” – will glide down downtown New Martinsville Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. They invite the public to watch the town come alive with children young and old as this year’s parade gets underway.

The Saturday evening parade is sponsored by the Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce and the following sponsors: Chesapeake, Suddenlink, New Martinsville Care & Rehabilitation, Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union, PPG, Jim Klug Excavating, West Virginia Northern Community College, Peoples Bank, WesBanco, Witschey’s Market, Wetzel Chronicle, New Martinsville Church of God, S&S Jewelry, Grisell Funeral Home, Air Evac Life Team, Prime Time Limousine, RED (Regional Economic Development Partnership), Riggenbach Tile and Carpet, Walmart, Power Country 104, Lite Rock 93R, 1330 AM WETZ, Oldies Radio Magic 99.5, and WXCR 92.

Without their sponsors the Christmas parade would not be the success that it is today. “With the overwhelming support we have received from our sponsors we are able to offer three prizes in each of the three categories Commercial, Organization and Performance,” said the chamber. First place in each category will receive $150 in cash prizes, second $125, and third place will receive $100.
