We all knew Bill Jones wasn’t in it for the long haul. When he took the job of Wetzel County Superintendent of Schools he said it was only for a year. Four years later he is turning in his resignation, but still giving the board plenty of time to find a suitable successor.
It only makes sense that Jones wants to return to retirement. He has, after all, earned the right to some rest and relaxation. But something tells us he somehow manages to do that even in the midst of work. You see, Superintendent of Schools has to be one of the most stressful jobs around, yet Jones always seems to have a smile on his face. In fact, he has told us he truly loves the job. In our opinion, that’s because he loves people and particularly the students of Wetzel County.
