From Rosy Cozart
We would like to thank all those who came to and helped at our 2010 Mutt Strut.
First of all we would like to thank God for the wonderful sunny day in the midst of all the coolness and rain.
Next we would like to thank all those who collected pledges and who donated the day of the event. They are who make the event such a success! All the winners of the contests were mentioned in the article in the Wetzel Chronicle Nov. 10.
And, we can’t forget the sponsors who make the event possible. All sponsors will be recognized in a separate letter.
We want to thank the Wetzel County Commission who donated the use of the 4-H Fairgrounds for the day.
In thanking those who helped we will exceed the words allowed for letters to the editor, so there will be two separate letters for volunteer thank you’s. Many of those listed below also helped with set up, running, and clean-up after the event. Special mention goes to Connie Yeager took many extra responsibilities for all the prizes, registration, monies that were handled that day, and much more. I could not have done the event this year without her help. Another big responsibility was the mailing of the letters to sponsors which Christine Weaver did all of. She also helped with the concessions along with Lou Rabel and Sam White. Joe and Lou also set up the agility course and Joe ran it during the event.
Becci Loy, Nancy Dorsch, Pam Ferrell, Carol Pefferman, and Debra King helped to clean up the shelter and care for the animals after the event. Pam, Becci, and Debra helped before the event also.
To be continued,
