Since Days Gone By seems to be the hot topic, I would like to add my two cents. Why doesn’t city council come up with an age ordinance also. We could make this a retirement community, and if you can find funding, maybe a new nursing home for all of you who want to die lonely, old people.

I think you should stop all sports, the band, music at the park, Labor Day, maybe even the trains. They make a lot of noise and I live five or six blocks from the tracks. I don’t think I care too much for the sirens on emergency vehicles, they get pretty loud.

People in this town need to grow up! You all were kids once, did you not listen to music? Maybe you spent your days and nights in church, not much profanity there, but those church bells are loud! Almost forgot those, I don’t ask to hear them but I don’t complain every Sunday.

Some of you people need to get a life. Support local businesses, don’t run people who support your town out. These people give people jobs, is that so hard to see? It was three hours of the best entertainment I have seen in a while. You would think the world was ending. I would much rather my kids hang out there than some of the clubs in New Martinsville that used to exist.

Days Gone By is a good, clean, fun place to go. Let the kids have a place to go that’s fun and safe! Ask any alumni who goes there alumni weekend, where else can we go to have a good time one weekend a year? These people do a lot for our schools and town, don’t end it over a little fun. You took the fun from people who own ATV’s instead of punishing the ones causing problems.

I used to be proud of this town and always wanted my kids to grow up here. Now I’m not so sure.
