Gary Wayne Sturgeon

On Aug. 26, Corporal A. W. Scott of the West Virginia State Police Crimes Against Children Unit, arrested Gary Wayne Sturgeon, 54, from Metz, W.Va., for three counts of sexual assault in the first degree and one count of sexual abuse of a child by a custodian.This arrest stems from information obtained during an investigation conducted by Child Protective Services. Sturgeon was arraigned in Marion County Magistrate Court and received an $80,000 cash only bond.He was lodged in the North Central Regional Jail.
