Surgeon Marcano Joins WCH
George Couch, CEO of Wetzel County Hospital announces Hector Marcano, M.D. has joined the Wetzel County Hospital medical staff as a general surgeon. Dr. Marcano’s office opened Aug. 30 and is located in the New Martinsville Plaza. His staff members include Clerk and Receptionist Ronda Bohrer and Brenda Monroe, R.N.
“We are pleased to have Dr. Marcano joining the other quality physicians and surgeons on our medical staff,” said Couch. “He has been praised by faculty and medical staff who worked with him during his residency for his quality of care as well as his great bedside manner with patients and staff.”
Dr. Marcano also serves as an on-call trauma surgeon for Wetzel County Hospital’s recently expanded and renovated Emergency Department.
Dr. Marcano was Chief Resident at Providence Hospital/Wayne State University in Southfield, Mich., where he also completed his general surgery internship.
Dr. Marcano is a native of Venezuela and completed medical school at the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas and now resides in New Martinsville.
