Hundred Raises Its Garbage Fee

At the Hundred town council meeting held Monday the council had the final reading of the Refuse Collection and Disposal Ordinance No. 1010 which will increase the monthly rate by $1 to offset the rising fuel cost. Following the reading the council members signed the ordinance into action.

At the Hundred town council meeting held Aug. 2 the council agreed to have Mayor Charles Sine sign the contract between I & Y Construction and the Town of Hundred to begin work on replacing the football field lights.

In other matters on Aug. 2, the council voted to put up “No Parking Except on Sundays” signs at the side of the Frontier building. They also discussed putting up signs regarding the ATV ordinance of no driving on the city streets. The council also stressed those in town using freezers as garbage bins need to get rid of them.
