From Susan Wade
I attended the opening ceremonies for Town and Country Days and I would like to thank The American Legion and VFW Honor Guard, directors of Town & Country Days, and all four county bands that participated in the ceremony. They did a wonderful job! I would especially like to thank all those who showed respect when the Flag was raised, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited, the Star Spangled Banner was played, and the Prayer was given. It amazes me the lack of respect that some people have. When you see this lack of respect from adults, then no one has to wonder for very long why some of the children have no respect. I want to thank all the men and women who have served our Great country, past and present. I believe the sacrifices that these men and women make every single day should be given the honor and respect they so rightfully deserve.
For God and Country,
