The rescues that assume the responsibility of abused animals face a very substantial financial burden.

I am aware that many persons of Wetzel and Tyler counties were very concerned about the abused horses and bulls on Whiteman Hill.

I am going to take this opportunity to thank you for your participation and concern. I wish to ask each of you to donate for the care and maintenance of these animals.

The rescue they are at pays $30 for each round bale of hay. They only use barn to barn bales that have not lain in a field.

I would also like to give my heart-felt thanks to Mr. Butch Lantz, Deputy Daugherty, and Dr. Meckley for a job well done.

Donations can be made at or sent to the Wetzel County Animal Shelter.

Please specify your donation is for the care and maintenance of the horses and bulls.

Make checks payable to: Wetzel County Animal Shelter, RR2 Box 157, New Martinsville, WV 26155.
