Skilled carpenter George Gordon of New Martinsville has built and refurbished antiques for nearly two decades. However, for the past two years he’s built and restored trunks-some over 100 years old. Many of Gordon’s exquisite trunks will be on display at the Festival of Memories July 17 along with other craftsmen.
More than storing luggage, these trunks hold a rich history. Fitting for the Festival of Memories, many of these trunks were found from homes in New Martinsville and carry fascinating stories.
