The Wetzel County Action Group would like to thank Chesapeake Energy for their efforts in trying to minimize the impact of the natural gas compressor station equipment moves.

We appreciate their reduction of normal Chesapeake truck traffic during the hours of the move. Accidents associated with the normal truck traffic resulted in problems during the first two moves.

Chesapeake also addressed our concerns for road access around the equipment to emergency vehicles. They also improved communicating the position of the compressor equipment on the roads. Chesapeake has also stopped the use of steel tracked vehicles for pulling loads on state roads.
