All are invited to return home to Paden City this year beginning on July 1 for a parade and memorial service at 7 p.m. All current and former band members are invited to participate in the parade. They will be lining up at 6:45 p.m. at the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. In addition, members of the Classes of 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, and 2000 are encouraged to enter floats into the parade. Friday evening there will be various class parties. Class parties so far on Friday, July 2, include Class of 1960 at the home of Ken and Linda Stead Friday beginning at 6 p.m., Class of 1970 party at the home of Barb and Charlie Racer beginning at 6 p.m., Class of 1990 at the Paden City Park with time yet to be announced and the Class of 1980 at the Paden City Park on Saturday, July 3, from noon to 4 p.m.

There will also be the annual golf tournament on Saturday morning, July 3, at Sistersville Country Club. The format for the tournament will be a five-person scramble at a cost of $30 per person, and registration will begin at 7 a.m. They are encouraging competition between alumni classes this year, so if possible, try to put teams together with members from your own graduating class. This is not a requirement, but a suggestion to foster competition among classes. If interested in entering a team into the golf tournament, please contact Ann Helmick at 304-652-1243.

Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. the Distinguished Alumni Award Reception will be held at Paden City High School.

On Saturday evening at 6 p.m., they will have their annual Alumni Banquet. Food will be provided by Quinet’s Court Restaurant. Tickets are available at WesBanco Bank in Paden City or you can contact Jana Turner at 304-337-2326 to reserve your spot. The cost of the banquet will be $15 per person.

Immediately following the banquet, there will be a dance at the Eagles in Paden City, or those who would rather not dance can gather at the Senior Citizen’s building for snacks and conversation.

Organizers encourage alumni to make this the best Alumni Weekend in Paden City history. They offer thanks for all of those who support Paden City schools, the Cornerstone Project, the various Booster organizations, and the Alumni Association. The Paden City Alumni Celebration is also selling t-shirts this year to commemorate “Paden City Schools Now and Forever”.
