Haughts Mark 50th Anniversary

Loren and Shirley (Harter) Haught today

Loren and Shirley (Harter) Haught of Reader celebrated their 50th anniversary June 5 at a family dinner party hosted by their children at Undo’s restaurant.

They were married June 4, 1960, at the Methodist Church in Reader. The Reverend Glenn Watts performed the ceremony.

Loren retired from Conalco with 35 years of service.

Shirley worked at Columbia Southern as a quality control analyst and at Wheeling National and Progressive banks as a teller.

They are parents of three daughters: Lori Wright of Clarksburg, Valerie (Davy) Smith of Jacksonburg, and Jill (Dave) Arnolds of Jacksonburg.

They have six grandchildren. George Scott Seyfert is a Patriot Missile Operator in the Army serving in Korea. Rick Wright will be a junior at West Virginia University. Jacob Smith just finished his freshman year at Fairmont State University. Victoria Arnolds and Tanner Smith will be juniors at Valley High School in Pine Grove. Madison Arnolds will be a seventh grader at Short Line School in Reader.
