Harry Richard and Linda Kernan today

Harry Richard and Linda Kernan of state Route 7, New Martinsville, will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on June 13.

They were married June 13, 1970, at Long Valley Church of Christ by the late Evangelist Raymond Norris.

Harry is the son of the late Francis and Ruth Brock Kernan of Wileyville. Linda is the daughter of the late Jack and Tempest Palmer Rose also of Wileyville.

Harry is a Vietnam veteran and a retiree of Ormet Corp. with 36 years service. Linda is a homemaker and is employed by Save-A-Lot in New Martinsville. They are both active members of Wileyville Church of Christ and Wileyville VFD.

They are the proud parents of two sons, Scott (Julie) Kernan of New Martinsville and Shawn (Sheila) Kernan of Homer City, Pa. They are also proud grandparents of Dessie Marie Kernan and Lexie Rose Kernan of Homer City and Kathryn Paige (Katie) Kernan of New Martinsville.
