A girl sustained several back fractures in an all-terrain vehicle incident Saturday evening on Arches Fork.

Wetzel County Sheriff James Hoskins the Folsom and Smithfield Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene, along with the WCSD. The unidentified girl was transported by the FVFD to Wetzel County Hospital, from where AirEvac took her by helicopter to a Morgantown hospital.

The incident is still under investigation by Deputy E. Daugherty.

Hoskins said there were other ATV accidents over the holiday weekend that did not involve the WCSO.
