Memorial Day Services Slated

New Martinsville

American Legion Marne Post 28, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28, and Sons of the American Legion Squadron 28, all of New Martinsville will be holding Memorial Day Services Monday.

The main service at Greenlawn Cemetery will be at 10 a.m., followed by the Northview Cemetery at 10:30 a.m., the Williams Cemetery at 10:45 a.m., the Korean Memorial Bridge at 10:55 a.m. where flowers will be dropped in the Ohio River in memory of fallen comrades, and the Walker Cemetery at 11:15 a.m.

In case of rain, services will be held at Post 28.

Paden City

The American Legion family of Paden City Post 86 and Sistersville combined honor guard will hold Memorial Day services at Paden Memorial Gardens beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday. American Legion Post 86 Vice-Commander David Rexrode will be in charge of the ceremonies. The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion will flag veterans’ graves at Paden Memorial Gardens on the evening of May 26.

Pine Grove

The Pine Grove American Legion Post 81 will hold a memorial service for veterans at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day. Afterward the Sons of the American Legion will perform a flag retirement ceremony at the Legion park. Light refreshments will be served.

Hundred

The Hundred American Legion Post 120 will hold a Memorial Day celebration at the Legion on May 31 at 11 a.m. A light luncheon will follow. The publicis encouraged to attend.
