From Barbara J. Powell

By Staff | May 19, 2010

Many thanks to the residents of New Martinsville and the U.S. Postal Service’s recent Help Stamp Out Hunger food drive. As one of the recipients of the donated items, Helping Hand has provided basic food items to Wetzel County residents since 1982. The group is supported by area churches, individuals, and organizations.

Also, assistance is provided through the Mountaineer Food Bank and federal funds. Helping Hand food pantry is open each Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is located at the rear of the Mason Hearing Center on North Street in New Martinsville.

Sincerely,

Barbara J. Powell, co-chairman

Helping Hand Board of Directors
