The Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual awards dinner April 29 at the Mollohan Center. The social begins at 5:30 p.m. with music provided by Rob Campbell. Dinner will follow at 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by Chesapeake Energy. Jim Forbes will act as Master of Ceremony.

The event honors those in Wetzel County for their contributions in the area of education, business, and civic involvement. This year’s honorees are Civic Organization of the Year, New Martinsville Lions Club; Employee of the Year, Beverly Gibb; Educator of the Year, Ron Dennis; Professional of the Year, Bill Jones; Citizen of the Year, Bryan Wilson; Youth Leadership/Volunteer of the Year, Alyssa Warren; and Business Owner of the Year, Weldon Williams.
