The Wetzel County Action Group strongly condemns whoever suspended the dummy from a noose with the words “go away drillers or you will die” on state Route 89 in the Silver Hill area.

We understand the frustration caused by ruined roads, dust, mud, accidents, traffic jams, noise, pollution, and blocked access to emergency vehicles, etc. Breaking the law and trespassing will only compound the problems.

If you really want to help the affected citizens, please join us in working cooperatively with the gas development companies, county, state, and federal government officials in solving these problems.
