I agree with the letter written by Ray Ebert (dated March 10, 2010). The amphitheater project would be a great asset for New Martinsville and surrounding communities. The riverfront development committee would love to make it happen. We, the citizens, need to encourage WesBanco – Wheeling (the local branch has nothing to do with this issue) to help the city gain control of the property, belonging to them, that would be required. I am glad we have a WesBanco branch in New Martinsville and appreciate WesBanco’s involvement in our community. We really need their assistance for this to happen. I believe this will benefit us all (WesBanco included). We need to let the upper echelon of WesBanco know how much we would appreciate their help in moving the project forward.
