Jacksons Mark 50th Anniversary

Temple and Glenda Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 13. The Jacksons were married at St. Paul’s Methodist Church by Rev. W.W. Harvey on Feb. 13, 1960.
Temple is the son of the late Simon Martin and Mary Brooksie (Howell)Jackson. He is retired from PPG Industries where he worked as a chemical operator for 38 years. Glenda is the daughter of the late Albert Francis and Merle Lou (Fankhouser) Howell. She has worked as a floral designer inthe past years at various shops in the area. They both are now enjoying hobbies and family fun.
The Jacksons attend the Pine Grove First Baptist Church where a beautiful dinner reception was given for them on Feb. 13 by family and friends. They would like to thank all of those sharing in their special day. They are the proud parents of three sons and one daughter, Ron and (Pam) Jackson of Reader, Greg and (Karla) Jackson of Longview, Texas, John and (Kelly) Jackson of Sistersville, and Mendy and (Shawn) Sampson of Wheeling W.Va. They have eight wonderful grandchildren: Justin, Joseph, Daniel, Beth, Ian, Emily, Timothy, and Andrew.
