One Of Those Weeks
Do you ever just have one of those weeks?
Well I certainly experienced one this week.
Our new computers here at work decided, after two weeks, to cause terrible problems. I have been wrestling with them for days and while I think you will actually have this issue of the Wetzel Chronicle in your hands, it wasn’t without some weeping and gnashing of teeth.
It will undoubtedly be an imperfect edition and it may even arrive at its destinations a bit late, but I can assure you that we all tried our best to deliver the news of Wetzel County as best we could.
What’s interesting about all of our problems is that none of them had to do with power outages. Thankfully our power at the office in New Martinsville remained on for the duration of the recent snow storms. We know other customers in our county and the region were not so lucky.
That is one way I can help keep all of these troubles in perspective. I always had lights and heat. I wasn’t without food or drink. For crying out loud, I’ll even get a regular paycheck to compensate me for my troubles.
I wasn’t injured in the creation of this edition-unless of course you could count the years, or at least minutes, subtracted from my life-span thanks to the stress.
Plus I enjoyed the beautiful handiwork of my creator as I drove to Hundred and back to see Gov. Joe Manchin visit our county.
So really, overall I guess I can’t complain too much. I’m just hoping you can do the same. . . about this issue of the Wetzel Chronicle. . . about any inconveniences caused by the snow. . . about life in general.
Really, in the whole scheme of things, most of us have it pretty good.
