The Wetzel Chronicle incorrectly published the candidates who had filed re-candidacy papers for this race last week. J. Smith of Dallas.

Scott Lemley, is the only local person who has filed for a state committee. The democrat county commissioner has filed for Democratic State Executive Committee (male).
New this year is the requirement for all candidates in House of Delegates and State Senate races to register with the Secretary of State’s Office. Previously, only candidates whose districts covered more than one county had to file with the Secretary of State.
Voters can see a complete list of registered candidates on the Secretary of State’s Web page, www.wvsos.com, by clicking on the banner at the top of the page. The list of candidates will be updated in real time.
