From Sharon “Yoho” Dulaney

By Staff | Jan 6, 2010

This is an open letter to the citizens of Wetzel County. First I would like to thank you for allowing me the privilege of representing you as Circuit Clerk for the last 11 years. This is a privilege that I take very seriously.

I want to put to rest a rumor that has been raising its ugly head throughout the county. Webster Dictionary states a rumor to be a statement or report current without known authority for its truth.

I have been asked by many if I’m retiring at the end of my term. They have been told that I plan on retiring December 2010. Friends, this is just what Mr. Webster stated. A statement without known authority for its truth. I have never remotely indicated at any time or to anyone that I was going to retire at the end of this term.

Having said that, I want to assure the citizens of Wetzel County that I plan on running for re-election to the office of Circuit Clerk. I enjoy my job and feel that I have represented you with knowledge, friendliness, and professionalism.

Rumors are just that (rumors). Rather that listening to those who enjoy spreading falsehoods, call me anytime and I will be happy to answer any questions that you might have.

I look forward with great anticipation to the coming months and meeting with you, the great citizens of Wetzel County. My name will definitely be on the ballot this May as candidate for re-election to the office of Circuit Clerk.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Sharon “Yoho” Dulaney
