Pine Grove Approves Stop Sign

By Staff | Dec 16, 2009

Due to many near-accidents discussed among citizens of Pine Grove, the Pine Grove Town Council motioned and agreed to replace a traffic sign by the post office. What has been a yield sign at that cross section will soon be replaced with a stop sign.

Some town employees made requests for new equipment. The council approved to spend up to $300 for requested equipment and will revisit the larger purchase of a new welder in January. The council also voted to purchase a new copy machine for the office and they are in the process of obtaining a new chlorine meter.

The Pine Grove Town Council made a resolution at Monday’s meeting to abandon a piece of property near Bob Haught’s residence no longer in use by the town and motioned for Mayor Dave Barr to make a quit claim deed for the property.

Valley High School’s winter formal at the Byrd Center has been changed from Dec. 19 to Dec. 23.

Finally, council said many townsfolk have commented on how nice the newly painted garbage trucks look around town.
