The Wetzel County Animal Shelter Supporters is preparing to have a fund-raising auction at the Mollohan Center located on the 4-H fairgrounds Saturday. Cozart Auctions will donate their time to do the auction again this year.

This year’s auction will be preceded by a spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. prepared by Quinet’s Court Restaurant which will include spaghetti marinara, cole slaw, roll, coffee, iced tea, and desert. The tickets for the dinner are $8.

You can purchase tickets ahead of time at the animal shelter or any of the three local veterinarians’ offices-Drs. Meckley, White, or Barnes. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. The tickets also enter diners in the door prize drawings held during the auction.

The auction will start at 6 p.m. There is no charge for the auction itself.

“Why go and fight the crowds when you can sit and eat, relax, and be entertained while getting great deals on new items? It is a very fun way to Christmas shop, say the Wetzel County Animal Shelter Supporters.

All items are new and/or unused items. Some of the items include, oil changes, auto products, glass ware, tools, pet care products, paintings, framed prints, crafts, candles, many gift certificates to eateries and stores, hair products, apparel, canned goods, tickets to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Pirates game, Baseball Hall of Fame, many other events and establishments, and so much more. The items make wonderful, original gifts. To see a list and some pictures of the many items go to www.cozartauction.com.
