Masonic Meeting Comes To New Martinsville
The Grand Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons of West Virginia will meet in New Martinsville Friday and Saturday. The Masonic Lodge Hall, 303 Main Street, will be the center of activities.
This is the first time there has ever been a grand communication, an annual state meeting, of any Masonic body held in New Martinsville.
New Martinsville’s Hubert Roberts is the Grand High Priest, leading the state-wide body.
Friday there will be a school of instruction held at the Masonic Lodge Hall at 8 a.m. and a grand banquet will be held at the Lewis Wetzel Family Center at 6 p.m.
Also on Friday, there will be organized ladies’ activities that will showcase local attractions including Marble King in Paden City.
In addition to various committee meetings, an election of statewide officers is held on Saturday.
Approximately 140 members will be attending the weekend activities in New Martinsville.
