Yohos Celebrate 50th Anniversary
Wayne Yoho always said if he made it to his 25th birthday he would never get married. He didn’t quite make it.
On Oct. 3 Calvin Wayne Yoho and Barbara Jo Nice Yoho will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Then on Oct. 4 Wayne will celebrate his 75th birthday. They plan to celebrate by camping in their motor home, so if you see them be sure to wish them a happy anniversary and happy birthday.
Wayne is retired from Ormet and Barbara is retired from the New Martinsville Post Office. They have three children, Randy Yoho of New Martinsville; Tom Yoho, deceased; and Angie (Sean) Stuntz of Barboursville, W.Va.; and three grandchildren, Tommy Yoho of New Martinsville and Nathan and Brittany Stuntz of Barboursville, W.Va.
Wayne and Barbara were married in New Martinsville on Oct. 3, 1959. Wayne is the son of the late Thomas and Blanche Yoho of New Martinsville and Barbara is the daughter of the late Orion and Helen Nice, also of New Martinsville. Most people are used to seeing Barbara on the roads with the mail, but nowadays it is Wayne that drives the back roads delivering Green Tabs. Barbara still occasionally works at the post office, but is mostly catching up on the puzzles and craft projects that she never got to complete while working six days a week. These days Wayne and Barbara spend a lot of their time with family and friends. They can be found camping in the motor home or going back and forth to Barboursville to see Angie and her family.
