Savannah Aileen Thomas

Savannah Aileen Thomas, 22, of Wetzel County is facing malicious assault and breaking and entering charges involving an incident that occurred on Sept. 16 in which she allegedly attacked Karen Adams of 702 Parkway, Apartment 2, in New Martinsville.

New Martinsville Police Chief Tim Cecil stated the incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m.

According to Cecil, Adams was struck several times in the face with a baseball bat after Thomas broke into her apartment and began attacking the victim.

Cecil reported Adams was treated and released from a hospital.

Responding officers from the New Martinsville Police Department were Sergeant Dave Byers, Patrolman Tony Thomas, and Sergeant Mike Thomas. Also responding was Deputy Rob Scott of the Wetzel County Sheriff’s Department.
