Half-way House Escapees Found In New Martinsville

Three residents that escaped from a half-way house located in Belmont County three weeks ago were spotted in the New Martinsville Wal-Mart Sept. 21.

Matthew Wilson, Dustin Ruckman, and Matthew Gosset were apprehended that night in Wal-Mart thanks to an anonymous tip called in to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.

From there, according to New Martinsville Police Chief Tim Cecil, the New Martinsville Police Department responded to the scene and the suspects were captured without incident by responding officer Friend Estep.

They are currently being house in the Northern Regional Jail waiting extradition back to Belmont County.
