Warren Barkes and Lucille Beegle Barkes of New Martinsville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 23. They were married on Aug. 23, 1959, by the Rev. Ray Whiteman at the New Martinsville Nazarene Church.

They are the parents of three children: Christine Hill of Caldwell, Ohio; James Barkes of Navarre, Ohio; and Kathy Bridgeman of Hannibal.

The couple has 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
