Sprouse Will Move

By Staff | Jul 8, 2009

Sprouse Building Products announced Monday their plan to relocate their manufacturing facility to New Martinsville before the end of 2009. Company executives expect the plant to be fully operational in its new location by December.

The Riverview Plaza Shopping Center on state Route 2, which has been home to large retailers like Ames and Hills Department Stores, will house the company’s new facility.

Jeff Sprouse, president of Sprouse Building Products, reports the company is excited about the move. “Apart from the new building being in a great location, it’s very exciting to us that it is so close to our current facility just under 10 miles away. We love being a part of Paden City as well as the Wetzel and Tyler County communities, and we’re very glad that we are going to be close enough to remain a part of them. Plus, when we move, we’ll just be right over the bridge from Monroe County, Ohio, so it will bring us closer to their community as well,” he stated.

Sprouse also said he does not anticipate that the move will cause any delays in production or delivery for Sprouse customers. “We will be continuing to manufacture all of our existing product lines throughout the relocation process. Our customers won’t notice a thing. For them, it will be business as usual,” he said.

A specific date when the relocation will begin has yet to be determined, but Sprouse reported that he expects the process to start in late summer or early fall.

Sprouse Building Products specializes in manufacturing high-performance vinyl replacement and new construction windows and patio doors.

Manufacturing since 1991, the company employs approximately 70 people and distributes its products in 10 states.
