Homecoming Will Be Held This Saturday
A day of events and catching up will be held Saturday at the 16th annual Wileyville Homecoming.
The parade kicks off the day at 10:30 a.m., but there is much more to do after that.
For the young there will be children’s games, including a duck pond. Along with the always beautiful quilt show, there will be crafts and flea marketer selling their wares.
There will be three contests: basketball shooting at noon, Cinch at 1 p.m., and horseshoe pitching after Cinch. Trophies will be awarded to the Cinch tournament and Horseshoe tournament winners.
As always there will be a lot of great food to enjoy including hot sausage sandwiches, roasted pork, beef and chicken, taco in a bag, and much more!
Stage entertainment will fill the day. Rock’n Country will kick things off at noon, followed by The Elson Family at 1 p.m., Bill Stokes’ Magic Show, 2 p.m.; Brandon Cunning and the Stunning Cunning band, 3 p.m.; Mountain State Bluegrass, 4 p.m.; Wileyville All Stars, 5 p.m.; Crossroads, 6 p.m.; The Price Family, 7:15 p.m.; and a final show by Brandon Cunning at 8:15 p.m. Cunning, a crowd favorite, is sponsored by Chesapeake Energy.
