Saundra and Emory Johnson

Emory and Saundra Johnson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 10.

The couple was married July 10, 1959, at the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church by the Rev. David A. Yoho.

Mr. Johnson is the son of the late Willard and Opal Johnson. He is retired 28 years ago from the Penzoil Co. He also was affiliated with the Stump Funeral Home for 13 years.

Mrs. Johnson is the daughter of the late Ernie and Ruth Grim.

The couple has three children: Steve (Tammy) of Virginia; Shawn (John) Burns of South Carolina; and Kari (Paul) Cupp of North Carolina.

The couple also has six grandchildren: Christopher and Mykal Johnson; Camden and Katlyn Burns; and Reagen and Avery Cupp; and three great-grandchildren: Austin, Nathan, and Kloe.

The couple plans to spend time on Hilton Head Island with family.
