No one was injured in this head-on collision that took place June 17 at approximately 3 p.m. on Doolin Run Road/North Street near its intersection with Beech Street in New Martinsville. Terrell Leister was driving a 2001 BMW 325ci west on the roadway when the vehicle allegedly went left of center and struck a 2001 Ford Escape driven east by Kathy Durig of New Martinsville. While Leister has Pennsylvania license plates, he is living in New Martinsville, according to New Martinsville Police Chief Tim Cecil. He was charged with driving left of center. The incident was investigated by NMPD Captain Mike Thomas. The New Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department, both fire and emergency medical service, responded to the incident. (Photo by Amy Witschey)
