Sardis Firemen’s Carnival Slated For This Weekend
The Sardis Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring their annual Firemen’s Carnival on June 17-20 at the Sardis school grounds.
This year will feature JCJ Amusements, games, concessions, and food, including their famous chicken and noodles and chili-cheese fries.
A parade will be on June 19, starting at 7 p.m. Anyone wishing to participate in the parade is invited to attend and may call Parade Chairman Charles Weyman at (740) 483-2084.
Entertainment is scheduled for each evening with Pickin’ On Country playing today at 7:30 p.m. Streamline Band will be on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Not So Rich and Famous will be playing on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. The Joy Trio and the Peacemakers will be present on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Festival goers are reminded to bring their lawn chairs. The shows are free to the public.
Ride tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth on the carnival grounds. Every evening will be pay one price and ride all evening, or individual tickets can be purchased. Rides will begin operation at 6 p.m.
