The Paden City Park has new playground equipment, just in time for summer. The Paden City Park and Pool Commissioners would like to thank all of the volunteers who have worked on the project that was supported by a grant from the Little Kanawha Resource Conservation and Development and other donations. They note that they had to remove the old equipment as it was unsafe. They will replace them with some equipment that can be enjoyed by older children as they acquire the needed funds.
In addition to the playground, volunteers have worked to spruce up the entire park by refurbishing the ballfields and getting the pool ready for operation. The commission has also purchased a double water slide that will be installed at the pool in the near future.
The commission appreciates all of the volunteers and the city workers. They would love to have more people volunteer to make the park the best it can be. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the city building. All help is appreciated. (Photo by Tammy Wayman)
